Healing in Your Sleep: Simple Steps to Transform Rest into Restoration

Did you know you can positively influence your sleep to support healing? However, certain conditions need to be in place for your body, mind, and even past trauma to heal while you rest.

Today, I’ll guide you through the key brainwave states that play a role in your healing process, both during the day and at night. Then, I’ll discuss common habits that might be blocking your ability to heal in your sleep – and share steps you can take to improve it. Plus, exciting news from me.

Unlock Your Body’s Natural Healing: Shift Brainwaves for Easier Recovery

Our bodies were designed to heal themselves – if they have the conditions they need.

And so, oftentimes, we women are just doing too many things in a day that block that healing. Today, we’re talking about how to reach for easier healing – because it doesn’t need to be that hard – we just have to get out of our own way.

Your brain is always listening. Did you know that whether you’re awake or you’re asleep, the brain is still scanning its environment and processing information?

So, first things first, let’s talk about brainwaves.

When you’re awake and thinking, you use two brain waves: gamma and beta.

Gamma is a problem-solving wave. If you were looking at a brain scan right now, gamma would have the busiest lines, with peaks and valleys, when you’re problem-solving or concentrating.

Beta brain waves, on the other hand, are associated with active thinking, alertness, and focus. These waves help you stay attentive and process information, but too much beta and gamma activity – like constant worrying or overthinking – can leave your mind feeling overstimulated.

If you’re an overthinker, affirmations, EMDR, and EFT tapping might be harder for you to benefit from as you struggle to be in different brainwave states.

Your brain is less relaxed and it’s more engaged – it’s on a mission. This means it’s not as open to receiving new ideas. In a relaxed state, we’re able to learn much faster.

On the chart measuring brain activity, dropping down from beta and gamma, we find alpha, which is a reflective, restful state. We associate this with something called “nervous system green.”

This is you feeling relaxed, like on a Sunday afternoon in a hammock. Ideally, we’re all experiencing alpha every day, but alpha isn’t a very common brainwave state in our current culture when we’re scrolling, we’re drinking, and we’re overstimulated.

Alpha is the place where your subconscious mind will start to become more available and more open to suggestions.

Unlock Deep Healing in Your Sleep: Harness Delta Brainwaves for Restorative Sleep

Moving further down the chart of brain activity, you arrive at theta, which is drowsiness.

This is a wonderful time to be accessing the subconscious mind, utilizing things like affirmations and guided meditation, and priming your brain for a healing, restful sleep.

Down from theta is delta, which is a low brain wave with not a lot of activity – but that doesn’t mean you’re not listening.

When we’re in that delta sleep (which is the deepest sleep) we dream, process our days, work through unprocessed emotions, and have nightmares.

Clients can expect to have crazy dreams after EMDR sessions, as it’s where your neural networks start to rewire.

Delta sleep is what we’re reaching for. However, many of us don’t get nearly enough delta sleep, which slows down our healing – physically, mentally, and emotionally.

Promote Delta Sleep Naturally: Ditch Substances and Harness Healing Frequencies

Now, what are some things that interrupt delta sleep? Alcohol.

Alcohol often helps us fall asleep but then it keeps the brain overstimulated, so it is not dropping into that super-healing delta state.

So if you’re someone who’s used to having a glass of wine or two to help you get to sleep, you are sabotaging your own healing.

Another thing is THC. Yes, it’s less disruptive than alcohol, but it still reduces the amount of time you spend in delta sleep.

For years, I required so many different sleep medications to sleep, so no wonder I wasn’t actually healing! But don’t worry, if you are someone who relies on external substances, there are so many tools that will get you, over time, off those sleep meds and into a true healing state.

Harness the Healing Power of 528 Hz Music for Restful Sleep

You hear me talk a lot about how everything is vibrational, and there are so many things that we can do to tap into the benefits of vibration and certain frequencies. One of them is binaural beats, or music that is at a certain vibration.

You can listen to different binaural beats to help train your brain, but one of my favorites is 528 hz because that is the vibration of love and healing, and it’s where the cells of our bodies can get the cue that it is safe to heal.

Over the years I have used 528 hz music while I work, sleep, and meditate to help me retrain my brain and cue the cells of my body that it is safe to heal.

So if you are going to sleep, then it’s a lovely idea to be using music tracks that help train your brain to prepare for it.

Transform Sleep with 528 Hz: Guided Meditations for Healing and Focus

When I was going through my divorce, I watched TV to fall asleep, which is not the best thing for you. It’s priming your brain to have a more stressful sleep. There have been many, many phases in my life after divorce where I have prioritized listening to healing tracks while I fall asleep so that I can help my brain.

I was giving my body these tools so it could access the healing it needed to recover from various traumas and health issues.

Unlock Deeper Healing: Premium Guided Meditations for Better Sleep

In light of all this, I have exciting news. We’ve been planning it for months, and the moment is finally here.

We have created two guided meditation tracks, utilizing and leveraging 528 hz music and delta waves. One track is specific for healing deep sleep and one is specific for focus, and these tracks are a tool to unlock deeper healing.

We are so excited to start to bring these tracks to you. We know that they are going to help you prepare for sleep and have better quality sleep.

This is for all the women who have reached out to me and said: “I listened to your podcast” or “I read your blog” and it helped you feel grounded and it gave you hope.

Playing these tracks in the background will work with your brain chemistry to help you move into a state of relaxation, have deeper sleep, and get better results for all the effort you’re putting in each day.

I know how overwhelmed you are. I know how much you’ve got going on. So not only are we creating some of these guided meditations, but I have been making some custom EFT tapping videos and partnering with other providers to bring you some very unique healing tracks.

We’ve got some very exciting content coming to you in the next couple of days and weeks. This is a big deal.

If you look inside your podcast app, there will be certain tracks that have a little lock next to them. That content will be paid content for folks who want behind-the-scenes access to what we are making for you.
